PEGGY & TESSA PLATNER
Los Angeles interior designer Peggy Platner grew up in the artists’ community of Laguna Beach, California and enjoyed a successful career in high-end retail buying and management before founding the Los Angeles interior design firm Platner & Co. with her daughter Tessa, in Malibu, California in 2002.
With an innate ability to interpret, complement and enhance a client’s vision, Peggy and Tessa create refined, highly efficient homes and spaces that radiate elegance and warmth.
Their philosophy is that interiors should reflect the personality and lifestyle of the client. They often design homes from the ground up in collaboration with local architects, and bring existing spaces to life through thoughtful renovations and beautiful new furnishings and decor.
Whether locating one-of-a-kind antiques or designing custom furniture and textiles, Peggy and Tessa create classic environments that appear to have evolved over the years; it’s never surprising when “timeless” is the word used to describe their work.
Passionate about timeless, sophisticated interiors, they have and continue to draw inspiration from iconic architecture, their travels around the world and most of all, beautiful fabrics.
Peggy and Tessa are members of the Institute for Classical Architecture and the United States Green Building Council. Their work has been featured in Angeleno and Malibu Magazine, and on NBC Open House and the Fine Living and HGTV networks.
